Taiwan problem

I think a lot of people of my generation, none Chinese, sometimes blindly ‘support Taiwan’😂 without having ANY idea what Taiwan problem is,

Taiwan problem starts from CCP(Chinese communist party) winning the civil war, after holding the majority in congress, the previous ruling Guomingdang(Chinese nationalist party) declared it still hold ruling power over China. So two parties have been ‘contesting’ the right to rule of China for the last few decades, until 20 years ago, the voice of “反攻大陆”(take back mainland) was still a populist propaganda in Taiwan. It’s around the last 10, 15 years Taiwan start to adopt a separation agenda and decided they are a poor little island that’s bullied by Mainland.

The interesting part is- because both side contest the ruling right of China, if you decide to have a diplomatic relationship with one government you can’t have with the other. So essentially your previous policy makers and diplomats have chosen which China you know and which China you want.

Otherwise according to the action and language of Liz Truss Britain should now take back all the diplomats in Beijing and break all deals and agreements. because a relationship with Taiwan government is basically calling CCP illegitimate right in front of their face. 😂 Great heavens why does the UK have shit politicians like this????
