纸上谈兵

I have a lot more people approaching me this month. A thing I don’t understand is- why would people only imagine themselves doing top level designs while they don’t want to write the core/fundamental modules? Core modules, imo is where the magic happens. It’s the algorithm and logic. Having a shit algorithm can cost you 10x or 100x of cycles, so why such an important job is considered a chore? Architecture is bullish if the bricks can’t be laid properly no? Doesn’t know how to properly write Verilog is like a chef who can’t tell how to deal with raw materials.

I have people that came up to me that ask for jobs but specify they don’t want to do the brick laying.  I also have people that came up to me to ask if I’m doing the brick laying jobs too, I told them yes because we are lack of hands (in fact, we only have 1 person laying bricks lol) and I’m doing everything.😂 Bruh. It’s giving me 纸上谈兵vibes, and I don’t need a 赵括 at this stage. Or any stage really. 😂
