Had an argument with my niece. She wants a cat, I don’t think she should have one. I made my point: a) She doesn’t have time to take care of the cat, daily chores like cleaning the toilet, brushing and feeding would require a constant and reliable schedule, since she wants to travel all over the place I doubt she would take her responsibilities to take care of it. b) She doesn’t have an sustainable income to support feeding, vet and insurance.
I also asked who’s gonna keep the cat company when she’s away from home 12 hours a day. My mum agreed, she said it’s abuse if you get an animal and doesn’t give it enough time and love. As an animal, I approve.😂
My niece was frustrated. So according to you most people shouldn’t have pets? She said.
Yes, I said. I think a lot of people shouldn’t have pets or children.
I want children and pets. I don’t have either. And I consider myself on the slightly more reliable side of the spectrum.
