Anyways, I tried to save a magpie today, I went to get some glue and on my way back a person was riding his e cycle so fast a magpie caught in his wheel, the person left super quick. It was struggling so I decided to save it. I went to find 2 plastic bags. When I came back it’s still in the middle of the road and people pass by ignored it. I put it in the bag, when I got to the vet they told me it’s dead.

Was I too slow? I asked.

No, the spine is broken. The vet said. It wouldn’t have made it even you send it right away.

Ok. I said. What should I do now?

So I found a place next to the river and dug a hole with my bare hands. The ground was hard and cold but I made a small space for it. It has really pretty feathers. Its body is smaller than I imagined. But I’m too scared to look at it or stay for too long, so I quickly buried it and left.
