China is ruled, 1/3 of the history by now ‘ethnic minority’, the last dynasty Qing, around 300 years was ethnic minority; Yuan, Mongolians; Tang, the royals never hid the fact they came from all over the place. This is a land of mixed stew and whoever step feet on it is a part of it. China is more like an idea of historical culture instead of ethnicity, from the size and complexity of it.
