Some thoughts on natural language and mathematical language

I've been updating HHZ with my Russian lessons. He's the only one that's apparently interested and not putting me down.

I've shared with him the ridiculous rules on adjectives today then had a discussion on genders of words.

'english doesn't have those strange cases or gender either, it definitely has one of the simplest grammar. I'll text you after the lesson.’

I went to grab some water and proceed to send him the long text about how I feel about cases:

‘ I can't tell if cases make life easier or more difficult, for example, he give (me) water, water, the target, needs to be changed to accusative case, or it can be water give him or him give water, their order of words is as arbitrary as Chinese. He Give Water, those three words can change order whatever, so for differentiate and declare the target, you need to use cases.’

When I translate it I also found another thing that Chinese and Russian very similar but not in English or French- 'you need to use cases' what I originally wrote was ‘就需要用到cases, translate to: so need to use cases', not having a subject for a sentence is very common in Chinese and Russian, but in English it's bizzare, I end up feeling uncomfortable using too many subjects and specific identity(most likely,you) when I write a sentence, which originally in my head, does not have a subject, or can apply on a general/larger population.

'so if water is accusative, it means he gives me water?’

'yes,.’ I said

'that actually makes sense.’ he replied.

'that makes sense actually.’ he followed.

I replied him with a string of hahahahaha.
