I really like Soros. As a writer and a philosopher at least! I can understand why people in finance find his book hard to read, probably because he was trained to write in a certain way with his philosophy education, if a person is not used to read this type of writing it is a pain in the ass. as a philosopher he’s definitely not on the ridiculously boring and hard to read end, quite the opposite, because he added fair amount of personal experience for context. I think it’s interesting he reflected on truth, meaning and death, such those fundamental questions in a book called ‘The alchemy of finance’ lmao I’m pretty sure 90% (or higher) of reader who wants to find a bucket of gold in his book will ignore and fail to appreciate those deeply meaningful personal answers he provided.

Especially the epilogue!!!!! It’s very honest. A work of art I would say.
