Soros

According to the videos and interviews I watched, Soros cares about market regulations and directional guidance from government more than most bankers. It’s completely opposite from how he makes money, namely adding fuel to the fire. He’s against absolute free market and consider a market left alone will collapse. Escaped from fascism and communism, he obviously doesn’t believe in an totalitarian regime, he’s also skeptic about a sensible, logical market because according to him : market never reflects true value of an asset; thoughts are a part of reality, reality and illusion/thoughts feed into another which made neither completely objectivity true (gosh I agree with him so much);

He got the bad name because he was so loud about the weak points in regulations and a sector’s financial health- I assume more people contributed to financial crisis, he’s only one snowflake.

He’s also right about China’s gonna be eat away and replaced by a good old capitalist government, I can already see it happen. No matter how much Xi is ideologically communist, he truly is btw, from the drastically improved living standards and millions out of property, visible impact of anti corruption on our day to day life, crackdown on BAT and their monopoly*… it’s hard to stop where it’s going.

He has a very interesting view on charity, which he says, charity, is intrinsically corrupted. It corrupts the receiver and the giver. But he still does it anyway.

Went to check his latest interview. He looks old. I’m also annoyed people make paragraphs before questions instead let him speak.I guess never enough money can defy the gravity of time

* There’s a young generation of a wealthy Chinese already do not understand him and swallow up the propaganda he’s an evil man, because they are the ‘new aristocrat’ of the society.  I’ve witnessed first hand how the rich young generation abuse their power, use and exploit other humans with no sense of equality whatsoever. I guess it’s human nature. He might have bankrupt my family directly or indirectly but I never hated him- dude is way ahead his time. It’s like Mao in my grandparent’s era, he took everything away from them, their flocks, lands, money, made them suffer greatly in the culture revolution. They resented him deeply but never dismissed the fact he’s a great thinker and a person ahead of his time. The elites, emotionally and logically speaking, will hate Xi and speak against him, even he’s a part of reason they are rich in the first place- aristocrats and the emperor don’t, won’t and never had good relationships. It’s the oldest game since rule of law and human government.
