I was confused for a while who this was.

My brain is so good at deleting unpleasant information it took me a few good minutes to remember this is the guy from the first accommodation I had here.

My friends told me to report him. I hesitated, he end up apologising a few days later.

Thought: maybe because sexual harassment and sexism is such a common theme in a woman’s life I don’t remember this particular event that well- bc similar stuff happened so many times.

The same month I witnessed a person on bike groped a girl in front of the fish and chips shop. They guy literally squeezed his hands into her groin region. She was really angry, she shouted.

I didn’t bothered to write it in my diary when it happened- I was in Egypt, where one of the staff from the hotel, at first politely chatted with me. Just basically travel and culture info. Then things turns towards his ex wife and if I have a boyfriend. Then he asked if I’m a virgin, and he ‘had never had a Chinese girl.’ I left.

Some people consider catcalls harassment. I don’t. It’s not a big offence. I normally ignore it.

Even then I’ve been harassed a handful of times.

Saw a person’s 朋友圈。I think he’s a bit pissed- someone CC’d him in the email to someone else, comment on him ‘He could have done more and better but he did something at least. Would you agree?’

He’s a really good guy that knows his stuff and was happy to spent 2 hours explaining microgrid stuff to me. And he’s a lecturer. Imagine you’ll still get bullied and gaslit even you are a lecturer. 😪
